I made 2 theme bowls the other one has the same glaze but was bigger. I think it got lost, I looked for it a while. With my theme bowls I wanted to do a lack stain design with circles and line but I was told I'm not allowed to use stain and to "dip and go" so I have to do what I had time for. I've used drip glaze in my other projects so I just glazed clear and dipped over green. The foot is 2 and a half inches I think the other bowl that is lost was 3 and a half. I used all the skills I've learned this semester like centering, pulling up and keeping it even. It uses color, movement and form. The mood is calm.

Another bowl because are very useful and good to have around the house. On this 3x3 bowl I glazed green, blue and white to give it a puget sound beach feel how seawater is blue and seaweed is green. I've been working a lot on getting my projects fully centered before pulling up and breaking them. This bowl used value and movement which shows a free mood.
this is my lidded project that I made on the wheel. I made a small pot with a foot of 4 inches. And 3 inches tall. Then I made my first lid on the wheel and made a knob. I had to use centering, pulling up and conning to make sure it was full centered. I glazed it white and then applied green with a sponge. The mood is calm. I will use this to store earings.
I made a bowl on the wheel because I like making bowls. decided to make a bowl on the wheel because I used form and unity. The mood for this one is chaos because the glaze has splats and drips. I have refined the shape of my bowls, this ones a good round shape and 4 inches wide.
For my choice project a made a cup with a handle. I made a cylinder on the wheel for the cup part and then pulled bagged clay for the handle. I glazed it turquoise and stained the words "more than enough" on the cup because I think it's nice to have little positive messages on things. It is 4 inches tall, and 3 inches wide, with the foot being 2 inches. I used form, color design. The mood is positive.
This is my set of 3. I decided to make a hand project for my set of 3 instead of on the wheel I made spoons or spreaders. I made balls and flattened them for the spoon part and then rolled long splabs of clay for the handle. I made 3 spoons and I really like them. The fired fine and then I painted designs on them with black stain. Then I glazed clear over top. It used line and form. The theme or mood I feel when I look at my spoons is eclectic.
This is my wheel altered project. I threw a little cylinder and then on the wheel used my finger to push in at the top and then pulled out. It made a little heart. After the bisque it mesaured 2 and a half inches tall and 3 and a half inches wide. It has an obvious form and also uses color on the clear/ whiteZ I glazed it white and then dripped tomato red over it. The mood of this project it love. I think this project it really cute.My tall project is 4 inches tall by 2 1/2 inches wide. I reinforced my skills of pulling up and had to practice a lot to get all the sides even. I also had to choke the top to make it a little vase. I glazed it white and blue, the same way I glazed my bowl #4. It uses form and color. The mood is also cool.
This is my bowl #3 that I made on the wheel. This this the biggest bowl I have made so far. I really worked hard on making sure the clay was centered before any other steps. I glazed it with white glaze, let is dry and then dripped blue around the inside and outside. It used unity and form. The mood is cool.
This is my teams franken pot, Cassidy Lauren and I's. We all worked well together on this. I made the base, with help from Cass. She made the middle, and Lauren made the top with help from Cass. Then Cassidy mostly put it together. It is 12 inches tall and 4 and a half inches wide on the top. Then we glazed it green, blue, turquoise and white over it. I think we all worked well on it. |
